Matt Kenseth Presented $17,000 Donation to Hometown Volunteer Fire Department
Press ReleaseHometown Hero donated winnings from Crown Royal’s
“Race Matt” program to Cambridge Fire Department

Kenseth, whose No. 17 decal has been a fixture in the Cambridge Fire Station and appears on a specially-named “No. 17 Engine,” is using the $17,000 winnings he received as part of Crown Royal’s “Race Matt” consumer promotion. The “Race Matt” program gives fans of legal-drinking age the opportunity to take to the banks of Las Vegas Motor Speedway and test their time against the 2003 NASCAR Champion during Champions Week.
While at the station which has been a fixture of the community for more than 100 years, Kenseth presented the donation to Fire Chief Ryan Hasz, spoke with the volunteer fire fighters and took the station’s newest fire engine for a spin around his old stomping grounds.
Fans 21 years and older can still enter to “Race Matt” this year during 2011 NASCAR Champions Week in Las Vegas, Nev., by visiting CrownRoyal.com. Should a fan beat the driver of the No. 17 Crown Royal Ford, they will take home the $17,000 and the ultimate bragging rights.
