Kenseth on racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:

“I always have a lot of fun racing at Atlanta, so I’m looking forward to this weekend there. We were able to clinch a spot in the Chase last weekend and the team has just been doing a great job this year so that feels great, but we’re still going to be working hard to sharpen up everything as we head to the Chase. Atlanta is a track that’s high-banked and fast, and as the track gets slicker throughout the race, you’re always looking for another groove that lets you get more grip. A good-handling car is really important at Atlanta so that you can get into the corners and not be loose as the track rubbers up.”

Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway:

“I enjoy racing at Atlanta because it’s a track where drivers can race two and three wide since there are several grooves there. Roush Fenway also has a pretty good track record at mile-and-a-half tracks so this is a track that I’m usually eager to get to. We focus on making sure that our car isn’t loose on entry into the turns because Atlanta is a place where you see cars carrying a lot of speed into the corners. It’s also important to have good drive off the corner because everyone always seems to fight cars that are loose in and loose off the corners at Atlanta.”

FAST FACTS:

• In 22 Cup starts at Atlanta, Kenseth has completed 6,755 of 7,098 laps (95.2 percent) and led for 189

• Kenseth has an average starting position of 23.1 and an average finishing position of 13.0 at AMS

• Kenseth has achieved eight top-five and twelve top-10 finishes at Atlanta in the Cup series

• This weekend at Atlanta, Kenseth will pilot the No. 17 Crown Royal Ford Fusion

• Following last weekend’s race at Bristol, Kenseth earned himself a position in the 2011 Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship

• Entering this weekend at Atlanta, Kenseth is currently third in the NSCS driver point standings
