RCR at Dover … RCR has earned four wins at Dover International Speedway, the latest coming in September 2006 when Jeff Burton drove the No. 31 Chevrolet to Victory Lane in the Dover 400. The other three wins came with Dale Earnhardt, who won both events at the “Monster Mile” in 1989 as well as the spring race in 1993. Additionally, RCR has earned one pole award, 22 top-five and 46 top-10 finishes in 125 combined starts at the high-banked, one-mile oval. Childress, a former driver in NASCAR’s top division, contributed three of those top 10s from 1976-1980.
The Collective RCR … Over the season’s first 28 races, RCR’s four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series entries have notched five wins, 15 top-five and 32 top-10 finishes. The No. 31 team kicked off the 2011 season with a non-points win in the second Duel 150 qualifying race at Daytona International Speedway. The No. 29 team visited Victory Lane at Auto Club Speedway in March and backed that up with a win the following weekend at Martinsville Speedway. In May, Harvick and the No. 29 team visited Winner’s Circle at Charlotte Motor Speedway, claiming the checkers in one of NASCAR’s marquee events – the Coca-Cola 600. Paul Menard and the No. 27 team captured the checkers in the prestigious Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July and the No. 29 team returned to Victory Lane under the lights at Richmond International Raceway. RCR-prepared Chevrolets have completed 31,212 out of 32,172 total laps (97.02 percent) with drivers Clint Bowyer, Jeff Burton, Harvick and Menard, who have also led a combined 766 laps.
99 Trophies on the Wall … Since its inception in 1969, Richard Childress Racing has collectively claimed 99 victories in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Dale Earnhardt visited Victory Lane 67 times under the RCR banner, Kevin Harvick has claim to 18 wins and Clint Bowyer has four. Jeff Burton won four of his 21 NSCS victories with the Welcome, N.C.-based organization, Robby Gordon added three wins to the count, Ricky Rudd contributed two, including the first for the RCR organization at Riverside International Raceway in 1983, and Paul Menard earned his first career NSCS win in his inaugural year at RCR.

Pink Bowties and Numbers on the RCR Chevrolets at Dover … October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and in support of the ongoing effort to raise awareness, several Chevrolet teams, including all of the Richard Childress Racing entries, will showcase pink highlights integrated into their paint schemes this weekend at Dover International Speedway. The Nos. 27, 29, 31 and 33 Chevrolet Impalas will sport pink Chevy “Bowties,” in addition to pink door and roof numbers at the “Monster Mile.” Chevrolet, along with its national dealer network, is proud to support the American Cancer Society® efforts to save lives and create a world with less cancer and more birthdays – by helping people stay well … helping people get well, by finding cures … and by fighting back. Across the country, Chevrolet dealers will be working in their communities to support the fight against Breast Cancer through the “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” program. Chevy pledged to make a donation to the American Cancer Society in the amount of $200 for each caution lap that the specially-themed “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” pink 2011 Camaro SS pace car led at both Atlanta Motor Speedway and Richmond International Raceway.
