Yeley Offers Ride to Fan to Promote Safe Driving
Press ReleaseTeam Carries ‘Drive Sober’ Message on No. 38 at Dover

The weekend includes the fulfillment of the “J.J. is my D.D.” contest, where contest winner Andy Anderson of Newark, Del., and a guest will have designated driver services provided by Yeley for a night on the town in Dover. The OHS ran an online contest where entrants submitted written comments on the importance of designated drivers. Anderson will also receive accommodations for the Dover race weekend on a Star Coach in the speedway infield.
Yeley has run four races in the No. 38 Ford since joining Front Row Motorsports in July, qualifying for each race on speed during time trials. Sunday’s race would be his 10th career start at the “Monster Mile.” His top finish is 24th (2008).
Comments from “Driver Sober, Arrive Alive” team driver J.J. Yeley on the Dover race and partnership with the Delaware Office of Highway Safety:
“It’s very cool to have the Delaware Office of Highway Safety on board with the ’38′ car going to Dover. ‘Drive Sober, Arrive Alive’ is a great campaign and it’s cool to bring it to the NASCAR audience by doing some things around the racetrack. It’s important to get the message out to everyone, and we’re glad we can help get it out to race fans. They obviously like to have a lot of fun when they come to the track, but it’s more important to make sure you have someone to get you there on time and alive instead of the alternative.
“We’ll be doing some cool things away from the track, too. I am going to be a ‘D.D.’ I will be providing designated driver services to our lucky contest winner on Friday night. We’ll be driving people around having fun and helping to promote the safe-driving message.
“We’ve had some good runs in the ’38′ car. We’ve definitely been making more progress the more we’ve worked together. We had a really fast car in Chicago and we ran with the lead pack most of the day in Loudon, too. I’m excited to get back in there for the third consecutive week and see if we can keep improving.”
