MARTINSVILLE, Vir. (October 29, 2011) – Persistent precipitation has forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway, race seven in the 2011 Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The 43-car field has been set by the provisions set forth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) rulebook.

Team Chevy drivers in the hunt for the championship will start as follows: Tony Stewart, No. 14 Office Depot/Mobil 1 Chevrolet – 4th; Kevin Harvick, No. 29 Budweiser Chevrolet – 5th; Jimmie Johnson, No. 48 MyLowes Chevrolet – 7th; Dale Earnhardt, Jr., No. 88 Diet Mountain Dew Paint the 88/National Guard Chevrolet – 9th; Jeff Gordon, No. 24 Drive To End Hunger Chevrolet – 10th; and Ryan Newman, No. 39 HAAS Automation Chevrolet – 12th.

A total of 16 Team Chevy drivers will take the green flag Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET. Live broadcast coverage will be provided by ESPN TV, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.
