DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 3, 2011) – Charles Day, a crew member for the No. 66 team (owner – Phil Parsons/HP Racing; Driver- Michael McDowell) in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy.

Day was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the 2011 NASCAR rule book.
