No. 29 Brad Keselowski Racing Ram News and Notes
No. 29 BKR Ram in 2011… After one event, Parker Kligerman and the No. 29 Brad Keselowski Racing (BKR) Ram team sit 10th in the 2011 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver point standings and 15th in the owner point standings.
This Week’s Ram… The BKR Ram team will use a chassis titled “Killer” during Friday’s Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix International Raceway (PIR). Team owner Brad Keselowski drove this chassis to seventh-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway in August of 2010.
Teammate, Team Owner… Kligerman is scheduled to run the first 15 races of the NCWTS schedule for team owner, and Penske Racing teammate, Keselowski.
Welcoming a New Crew Chief… BKR recently hired Jeff Stankiewicz as the new crew chief of the No. 29 BKR Ram. Stankiewicz served as car chief for six of Frank Kimmel’s ARCA Series championships. He spent last season as crew chief for driver Brian Scott in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Kligerman ARCA Success… In just over one year of competition in the ARCA Series, Kligerman put up some prolific numbers. In 23 series starts, the Westport, Connecticut native scored nine wins, 14 top-five finishes and 20 top-10 results. Kligerman narrowly missed out on the 2009 series championship, but he did secure the Rookie of the Year title that season.

Parker Kligerman on this weekend’s race at PIR
“To say I am excited for this weekend’s race at Phoenix would be an understatement. Phoenix has been a track I have looked forward to racing on for a long time. With the level of equipment that our guys here at Brad Keselowski Racing produce, I see no reason why it won’t be an enjoyable weekend. We are taking a very good truck to Phoenix, one that was brand-new to the team last year at Bristol. I have to thank Brad, Roger and all of Penske Racing for their support and this opportunity.”
Crew chief Jeff Stankiewicz on preparing a truck for PIR
“Phoenix can be a fun, but frustrating track for a team. It’s challenging because you have three different shaped corners to work on, which gives us a lot more variables than you would have at an ordinary oval. Not only is it hard on equipment, but it’s also hard on the drivers. Normally that is a cause for concern, but I feel good about this weekend. I really believe Parker is capable of overcoming the frustrations of the track and focus on winning. We didn’t get the finish we deserved at Daytona after getting caught up in that late-race incident and that has made us work that much harder to get ready for Phoenix.”
