Johnson Quotes:
We have had a few weeks off since Darlington, how have you spent the time?
One of the cool things I was able to do last week was attend Toyota Motorsports Day where I got to meet some Toyota employees and their families, which was fun. We were also able to tour the Toyota museum and see some of the different Toyota vehicles that have been made over the years. We also went to test at Gresham Motorsports Park in our off week. It was a good test and we learned a lot. Seat time is valuable to me at this point in my career and so any chance I have to get in the truck is awesome.
How does it feel to drive for an organization like Wounded Warrior Project?
I am honored to give back to those that have sacrificed so much for us and our country. I am happy to be driving for them and to represent them around our sport. It gives me a chance to give back, even just a tiny bit, for all they have done for us.
Martinsville is a two day show unlike Darlington that packed practice, qualifying and the race all into one day. Which do you prefer and why?
I am pretty excited about that because when you go to a track that you have never seen before you want more practice. I am grateful for the extra seat time we will get this weekend in Martinsville. That is why I think NASCAR should allow some sort of testing for first year rookies who are going to tracks that they have never raced before.
