Justin Johnson Had Good Truck, Bad Luck in Martinsville
Press Release
The Kroger 250 went green with Johnson starting in the 26th position. Before lap 50 he was mixing it up with the front runners in the top-10.
“We had a great truck. We weren’t that great in practice but Doug and the crew made some changes and our truck was really good in the race. The race started and we were fast, making our way up to the top-10,” said Johnson after the race.

Johnson restarted in top-20 and while making his way back to the front was caught up in a wreck on lap 137 that forced a nine minute forty second red flag.
“We got caught up in an incident that wasn’t of our own making. There was a chain reaction and we ended up with some heavy front end damage,” said Johnson.
Once behind the wall, the crew scrambled to get the 51 back on track. Johnson returned to the race 46 laps down and brought his Wounded Warrior Project/Vision Airlines Toyota Tundra to the checkered flag in 31st position.
