No. 32 Great Clips Chevrolet

Dover International Speedway -Lucas Oil 200

May 13, 2011

Tackling the ‘Monster Mile’ a First for Sweet … This weekend’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) event at Dover International Speedway will mark Brad Sweet’s first career start at the one-mile track. The rookie driver hopes to build on his learning experience this season in the NCWTS by adding to his solid start thus far in 2011.

This Week’s Chevy Silverado… The No. 32 Great Clips Chevrolet Silverado team will unload chassis TMS-008 to the speedway for Friday’s 200-lap event. This chassis last saw track time at Darlington Raceway where Sweet qualified 21st and finished in the 36th spot.

Kickin’ Up Dirt During the Off Weeks… Sweet, along with his Kasey Kahne Racing crew, traveled to Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind. and Eldora Speedway in New Weston, Ohio during his time away from the NCWTS. Sweet had strong showings in both races qualifying well, finishing inside the top-10 in both heats, but issues in both A-Main features relegated him to top-20 finishes.

Extra Force in the Pits… The No. 32 Great Clips team will have extra muscle this Friday afternoon on the No. 32 Great Clips pit box with Dover Air Force Base 436th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Officer Lt. Jennifer Guerrero on hand to support the team during the annual Lucas Oil 200.

Autism Speaks… All three Turner Motorsports NCWTS entries, along with the Mooresville, N.C.-based organization’s NASCAR Nationwide Series counterparts will carry Autism Speaks decals this weekend in Dover. Autism Speaks was founded in February 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright, grandparents of a child with autism. Since then, Autism Speaks has grown into the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. Brad Sweet on Dover International Speedway:

“I’m excited to head to Dover this weekend. It’s a unique animal that has high-banked turns and long straightaways, which usually provides for exciting racing no matter what you race. Hopefully we can rebound from Nashville and get the solid finish that we are capable of.”
