MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 31, 2011) – Kansas City, Kan., native, Jennifer Jo Cobb will return to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) in the Mark One Ford F-150 for the first time since her historic 6th place finish earlier this season at the Daytona International Speedway. Cobb has the highest finish ever for a female driver in the series and this weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 marks the NCWTS’ 400th race.

Cobb’s return to the familiar #10 Ford at her home track marks a special stop in her very full schedule. “This has been a tumultuous year for our team,” says Cobb, “and coming back to the truck series to perform for Mark One, at home, is like a breath of fresh air.”

Cobb is a Rookie of the Year contender in the NASCAR Nationwide Series this year and made a notable departure from her former team in March at the Bristol Motor Speedway that created controversy and speculation about the rest of her season. “The past few months have been a rebuilding phase for our small team and we are finally showing signs of improvement and regained strength. This sport can eat you up both on the inside and the out but the good far outweighs the bad and every weekend, no matter the outcome, I remind myself that I am living my dream and for that I am grateful.” Her decision, attitude and perseverance have earned her much respect from fans in the sport.

Cobb ran a full season in the NCWTS in 2010 and finished 17th in the points standings, becoming the highest finishing woman in any NASCAR series standings since 1949. Her commitments to her home track and more importantly, her hometown sponsors, bring her to the Kansas Speedway leaving an opportunity for veteran NCWTS driver, Rick Crawford to go to Chicago with her #13 NASCAR Nationwide Series car. “It makes sense to have Rick take our car to Chicago and see if he can teach us anything to improve that car’s performance. He has shown our team a tremendous amount of support and this is a continuation of him taking time from his busy schedule to check out our Ford Mustang.”

Mark One Electric, a locally owned Kansas City, Kansas/Kansas City, Missouri business is proud to be a returning for the third time as a primary sponsor for JJC Racing. Rosana Privitera Biondo, President of Mark One Electric says “Mark One is very happy to sponsor Jennifer Jo Cobb a local race car driver now at the national level in the race this weekend. As a woman owned business we are very proud to support other women owned businesses in the community. We will be cheering her on and waiting for a strong finish at the checkered flag.”

Tickets for this weekend’s activities are still available. Race schedules and information can be found at www.KansasSpeedway.com
