Press Release
New England 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
No. 11 Shore Lodge Team Notes of Interest
· Brian Scott and the No. 11 Shore Lodge Toyota team prepare for this weekend’s New England 200 at the one-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon, N.H. This will mark Scott’s second start in NASCAR Nationwide Series competition at New Hampshire.
· While Scott only has one previous Nationwide Series start at the “Magic Mile”, he has been competing at the Loudon track since 2007 when he made his New Hampshire Motor Speedway debut in the NASCAR Truck Series. Scott has made a total of three starts at New Hampshire in Truck Series competition since his debut in 2007, scoring two top-10 finishes in three Truck Series events in Loudon, N.H. He finished eighth during the track’s 2008 Truck Series race and finished seventh during his most recent Truck Series race at the track which was in 2009.
· Scott will be participating in the New Hampshire chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities golf tournament on Thursday, July 14. The “One for the Kids” golf tournament takes place at Canterbury Woods Country Club in Canterbury, N.H. beginning at 11 a.m.
· The No. 11 Shore Lodge Toyota team will take Chassis #125 to this weekend’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. This chassis was raced by the team once this year and that was during the race at Chicagoland Speedway in early June. Scott had a top-five run going at Chicago when he ran out of gas with only one lap to go in the race. He was scored with a 17th-place finish. The backup car is Chassis #106 and it has not been raced during the 2011 season.
· Last Race: The No. 11 Shore Lodge Toyota was among the fastest cars on the track at Kentucky Speedway last weekend for the Feed the Children 300. Varying pit strategies and fuel mileage however kept Scott from scoring a top-10 finish. After making a late-race stop for a splash of gas, Scott was scored in the 15th position by the time the race was over.
· Scott is now tied for the ninth spot in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver point standings. He shares the ninth position with driver Michael Annett. They are seven points out of eighth place behind Steven Wallace. Elliott Sadler took over the top spot in the point standings as a result of his fifth-place finish.

It seems as though the No. 11 Shore Lodge Team is hitting its stride at the halfway point of the season?
“I feel like we are making good progress. I can’t speak for everybody but I know our No. 11 Shore Lodge team has really been communicating well with each other – in particular the communication between Kevin (Kidd, crew chief) and I and that has helped us to kind of turn the corner. We have incorporated a lot of things that we’ve learned this first half of the season into these race cars that are really helping me out and kind of developing a package built around me has helped a lot. We’ve been fast and are competing really well. So I think everything is turning around.”
