Quotes:
What Chris Fontaine expects at Pocono Raceway:
“This is our second start and I do not have to familiarize myself with the track as much. There are a couple things I learned in the race last year that I am looking forward to putting to good use and trying to pick up some speed. Our guys have worked really hard this month trying to get ready and find some speed for us. We will do the best we can and hope it is enough.”
What his goal is for the race:
“We are still trying to get our first top 10, so that is our goal.”
Fontaine runs dirt Late Models at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, FL on the weekends when he is not running a NCWTS race. He recently switched from the V-8 Thunderstock dirt class that he had been racing in there since 2008. That year he got one win out of five races, and has accumulated six more wins there. He got two of them in a row in 2009 and three in a row in 2010.
“I have figured the dirt Late Model car out a little better this race, and maybe by next time I can get up there and run with the front guys. That has been a new challenge, and it’s a lot of fun, but it is something I will have to learn.”
