Chris Fontaine Fights Loose Truck At Atlanta Motor Speedway
Press Release
“The truck was really, really loose. It was loose from the time we got there until we left. It was loose in practice, loose in qualifying, loose in the race. I wish we knew what we could have done and we would have done it.”
Fontaine moved up to 13th by lap 60 when other trucks pitted and fell out of the race. He ran in the 22nd and 23rd spots for most of the second half of the race.
By lap 120 of the 130 lap race, Fontaine had worked his way up to the 12th spot before running out of gas and had to pit during a green flag run.
He was able to get back out and finished the race in the 27th spot.
The next NCWTS race for Fontaine and the Glenden Enterprises team will be the Talledega 250 at Talledega Superspeedway on October 22nd.
Last year Fontaine lead the race three times for a total of 15 laps. He was leading the race with three laps to go when an ignition problem ended his race after a late race caution. He was credited with 19th in the race.
