Lofton, ESR Look Forward To Chicago Stop

Last race review: Justin Lofton and the No. 6 CollegeComplete.com (http://www.collegecomplete.com) Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) team started the 200-mile event at Atlanta Motor Speedway two weeks ago from the 22nd position. After tuning on the truck to fix the handling, Lofton began his climb through the field. Unfortunately, his hopes of contending were dashed on lap 80 after he was bumped from behind and collected in an accordion style wreck. After repairs in the pits, Lofton and the No. 6 ESR team ended the night in the 26th spot.

Lofton at Chicago: Lofton has a successful history at the 1.5-mile Chicago area race track. Last season he made his NCWTS debut there, starting an impressive 10th and ending the night with an even more impressive finish in fifth. His NCWTS stats at Chicagoland back up his ARCA Racing Series results. In 2008, Lofton started third and finished a respectable eighth. In his return visit to the track behind the wheel of an ESR entry, Lofton dominated the 2009 race en route to victory. He started the race from the third position, led three times for 55 of the 100 laps, and took home his fifth of six wins that season.

Truck information: Lofton will race chassis 060 this week at Chicagoland. The race marks Lofton and ESR’s debut in a Chevrolet.

Lofton on Chicagoland Speedway: “I’m excited about Chicago. I’ve always run well there and so has ESR, no matter what series we seem to be in. We won there together in ’09 and I got a top-five last year in the Trucks. Chicagoland is a lot of fun. It’s not the usual one and a half mile track, it drives a little different and has a lot of speed. I’m also looking forward to driving our new Chevrolet.”
