GRIFFIN, GA (NOVEMBER 14, 2011) – NASCAR driver Max Gresham today announced a promotional association with ShowGear, a new Atlanta, GA apparel company.

After more than a year of planning, Brent Shows and Nathan Tilson launched ShowGear this past August. The new company will target the motorsports, x-tremesports, hunting and fishing gear markets with several different product lines.

According to Gresham, ShowGear’s initial product offering – Flat Bill Mafia – will debut the brand on his No. 66 MattBRaps.com / ”BurnOut” entry in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Ford 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Friday, November 18.

The Homestead event will be the first of several marketing initiatives between Gresham and ShowGear.

“It’s great that ShowGear is out of Atlanta because that gives this partnership a hometown flavor for me,” said Gresham, a Griffin, GA native. “I’m really excited to work with their first product line – Flat Bill Mafia. ShowGear has a lot of cool stuff coming up. I’m real passionate about hunting and fishing, so helping ShowGear develop products for those markets is going to be really interesting to me. It will be all about making the best hat for the situation, and the coolest one too.”

According to Tilson, officially launching the Flat Bill Mafia brand in NASCAR and with Gresham was more then the pair could have hoped for.

“We had NASCAR in our sights as one of the places we thought we could market our ShowGear products,” stated Tilson. “The opportunity with Max and being involved in the “BurnOut” video with Max andMattyB came along so quickly that it kind of caught us by surprise. NASCAR is huge. Millions of people are going to watch the Homestead truck race live on SPEED and millions more will view the “BurnOut” video on MattBRaps.com. That kind of opportunity got us really excited.”

Tilson indicated Flat Bill Mafia will debut several new hat designs in conjunction with the Homestead NASCAR race. He hopes the distinctive wide, flat-billed hats – popular with young people in the motorcycling, skating and the rap/hip-hip communities – will prove to be a hit with youth oriented NASCAR fans as well.

Flat Bill Mafia is accepting ‘friends’ on Facebook and can be followed on Twitter@FlatBillMafia.

A new website – www.FlatBillMafia.com - is currently under construction.
