FT. WORTH, Texas (April13, 2012) – Roush Fenway’s Ricky Stenhouse Jr. held off Sprint Cup veterans Denny Hamlin and Paul Menard to post Roush Fenway’s 17th NASCAR win at Texas Motor Speedway in Friday night’s Nationwide Series event. The win marks the fourth consecutive NNS race win for Roush Fenway at Texas Motor Speedway. Stenhouse becomes the seventh RFR driver to win at Texas; with every member of Roush Fenway’s current driver lineup now boasting victories at TMS.

“This was just a great team effort,” said Stenhouse, who posted his second win of the 2012 season and fourth career NNS victory. “I just have to thank Pure Michigan for being on the car this weekend.

“Mike Kelly is just a great crew chief,” added Stenhouse. “I complain a lot, but he gets the job done. I wasn’t sure about no changes there at the end, but Kelly knows what he’s doing and I’m just glad to be a part of this race team.”

Stenhouse, who led 69 laps in the race, took the lead for the final time with 24 laps remaining and never let go, despite a late chargeby Hamlin.

“He’s done a tremendous job all year,” said Kelly. “I’m so happy for Pure Michigan, Ford and Jack Roush. I just can’t think Jack Roush and (general manager) Robbie (Reiser) and all the guys back at the shop.”

With the win Stenhouse moves to within four points of the Nationwide Series points lead after six events.

The win is Roush Fenway’s eighth at Texas in the Nationwide Series. It is Roush Fenway’s 302nd overall NASCAR victory during its ’25 Winning
