“Tommy is really a bright guy and has a tremendous amount of experience in the sport,” explained Lagasse. “We couldn’t ask for a better fit for our needs at this point, and we are excited to be working with Tommy, Brad Parrott and the guys at TBR.”
TBR made its NNS debut this season at Daytona International Speedway in February. The team made eight starts this season with four different drivers. Ryan Blaney tallied the team’s best start of eighth at Richmond International Raceway (RIR) in April. Blaney also tallied the team’s best finish of seventh at RIR and Bristol Motor Speedway.
“We are pleased that TeamSLR and Scott looked to us for a technical alliance,” commented TBR Owner Tommy Baldwin. “We made our Nationwide debut this season and have seen really positive results. I think Scotty and his team are taking the right steps to transition into the Nationwide Series, and I’m happy that our team can help them during this growth period.”
Lagasse will hit the track Friday, September 21 for practice. He will attempt to qualify the No. 8 Hybridlight / BSA Chevrolet into the Kentucky 300 on Saturday, September 22. ESPN2 will provide coverage of the 300-mile event.
