INDIANAPOLIS– Firestone Indy Lights driver David Ostella enters the storied Streets of Long Beach, a circuit rich with history and full of challenges, ready to score a solid result with Team Moore Racing.

Ostella is coming off of a top-10 finish in the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama in his No. 22 Global Precast-Xtreme Coil Drilling car, in which he advanced five positions during the race to finish ninth.

In the 2011 Firestone Indy Lights race in Long Beach, Ostella finished ninth after starting 14th.

“This time around in Long Beach, I know the car better and my knowledge of setups on the car have improved drastically,” Ostella said. “This year should be a huge improvement.”

After two races together, Ostella and Team Moore Racing are beginning to gel and are seeing improvements in on-track results.

“My strategy is to finish the race and be top-5,” Ostella said. “That’s my goal for every weekend, and I’m working hard with the team to make that happen.”

The Grand Prix of Long Beach Firestone Indy Lights will be aired in its entirety on NBC Sports Network (formerly Versus) on Thursday, April 19 at 5 p.m. Live radio coverage, as well as timing and scoring, of all on-track activity can be heard on IndyCar.com.
