Wood Brothers Racing's Trevor Bayne inside the No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Ford Fusion
The current series points leader, Greg Biffle, was second fastest with a lap speed of 184.370 mph, and was followed by Matt Kenseth (184.351 mph) who was third fastest, Clint Bowyer (184.269) fourth fastest and AJ Allmendinger (184.005) was fifth fastest.
Rounding out the top-ten fastest during “Happy Hour” (final) practice were Kevin Harvick (183.955 mph) who was sixth fastest, Denny Hamlin (183.830) seventh, Kurt Busch (183.698) eighth, Martin Truex Jr. (183.680) ninth and Marcos Ambrose (183.405) posting the tenth fastest lap speed on the charts.
The teams will return later today for their 6:40 PM (ET) scheduled qualifying session to determine the starting lineup for Saturday evening’s Samsung Mobile 500 – which is set to get underway around 7:50 PM (ET). Television coverage will be provided by FOX beginning with their pre-race program at 7:00 PM (ET).
