CONCORD, N.C. (June 14, 2012) – Carl Edwards and the Fastenal “Blue Team” will be featured on TNT’s “Inside Trax” segments during Sunday’s Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway. The segments will give viewers a behind the scenes look at what is happening with Edwards and the team throughout the race by using various cameras & audio in the race car and pits.

Edwards’ No. 99 Fastenal Ford Fusion will have an in-car camera, while several cameras will be placed in the pit stall to capture all the action. Crew chief Bob Osborne and several crew members will wear microphones throughout the race to provide viewers a glimpse of what goes on off the track during the race.

“There is so much happening in the pits that the fans never get to see,” said Andy Ward, pit crew coach for Roush Fenway Racing. “While the race is going on the crew chief is working on strategy with the engineers, the pit crew is preparing for its next stop all the while the driver is fighting for position on the track. These segments will spotlight some of the action that is every bit as important to the outcome of the race.”

Edwards has a strong record at MIS with two wins and 12 top-10 finishes in 15 starts, and has led 274 laps at the two-mile oval.
