Statesville, N.C. (7/24/12) - When David Gilliland pulls out onto the track in Indianapolis for the Curtiss Shaver 400 at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway he will be sporting an innovative sponsor. Front Row Motorsports has teamed with Big Machine Label Group to sponsor the No. 38 Ford for the race. The Big Machine music label sports famous recording artists such as The Band Perry, Justin Moore, The Mavericks, Greg Bates and Sunny Sweeney. All five of the Big Machine artists will be a part of Sunday’s pre-race festivities.

Big Machine Records and Front Row Motorsports are also pairing up to give fans of the chance to win a signed guitar and race-used fire suit through the Racecars and Country Stars Sweepstakes. To enter and view official rules visit www.RacecarsAndCountryStars.com.

Gilliland is looking to turn around his bad luck over the past few years at the Brickyard, including his 33rd place finish in last year’s race. There is room for optimism as Gilliland’s first two races at the Brickyard resulted in back-to-back top 20 finishes, including his best of 17th in 2007.

David Gilliland on Racing at Indianapolis:

“It is always special to get to race at Indy because there is just so much history there. ‘Kissing the Bricks’ is a dream of everyone who races there. As team we know it will not be an easy race, but with the benefit of an off week last week, we feel confident that we have put in the preparation that is necessary to have a good run.”

“It is always exciting to have a new sponsor on the car, but with Big Machine Label Group on board this weekend there is a little bit of extra buzz. Having these country music stars on the car is awesome and the paint scheme looks incredible. We only hope we can make it perform as fast as it looks.”

Pat Tryson on the Curtiss Shaver 400:

“We are really excited about the race this week. Having an off week to rest and give us preparation time has definitely benefited the entire team. Everyone is coming in focused and ready make this a great run. The car looks great and we’re looking for a strong finish on Sunday.”
