Kenseth on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
“With the repave this year at Michigan, there still is a lot that we’re learning in regards to our set-ups. We were able to go up for a Goodyear tire test at the end of July and got a few more laps under our belt on the new surface which always helps. Michigan is one of my favorite tracks during the season and I always look forward to going there since it’s in the Midwest. Racing at Michigan is always a big weekend for us since it’s the headquarters for Roush Industries and Ford Motor Company, so we’ll look to have another strong run in our Fifth Third Ford.”
Crew chief Jimmy Fennig on racing at Michigan International Speedway:
“We went back to Michigan after the June race for the tire test and found a few other things that we think helped our set-ups going into this weekend, which is encouraging. The tires will still be an unknown for this weekend until we get to the first pit stop on Sunday. We’re going to come into the weekend building off of our set-up from June and go from there. I feel like we had an OK car for the last race, but I’m hopeful that we can improve upon our third-place finish from June this weekend at Michigan.”
