2012 NSCS SYLVANIA 300 Starting Lineup

This was Gordon’s 2nd series pole of the 2012 season, his 72nd series career pole and his 4th series pole at “the Magic Mile.”
Sharing the front row with Gordon to start second with a qualifying lap speed of 134.753 mph, will be Kyle Busch, and they will be followed by Tony Stewart (134.568 mph) who will start third, Brian Vickers (134.482) fourth and Carl Edwards (134.354) will start fifth.
Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Kasey Kahne (134.179 mph) who will start sixth, Paul Menard (134.099) seventh, Ryan Newman (133.933) eighth, Martin Truex, Jr. (133.872) ninth and Dave Blaney (133.863 – sitting in for Sam Hornish, Jr. who will race the car on Sunday) will start from the tenth position.
Failing to make the starting lineup were the #26 driven by Josh Wise#; #23 driven by Scott Riggs; #49 driven by Jason Leffler and the #19 driven by Jeff Green.
The teams will return Saturday for two more practice sessions (9:15 AM – 10:15 AM & “Happy Hour:” 11:00 AM – 11:50 AM ET) before returning for the 16th annual SYLVANIA 300 on Sunday – which is set to get started around 2:20 PM (ET). Television coverage will be provided by ESPN beginning with their 1:00 PM (ET) NASCAR Countdown pre-race show.
