2012 NSCS SYLVANIA 300 Second Practice Session Speeds

Hamlin’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Joey Logano, with a lap speed of 131.442 mph, was second fastest, and was followed by Jimmie Johnson (131.370 mph) who third fastest, Martin Truex, Jr. (131.338) fourth and Kyle Busch (131.266) was fifth fastest.
Rounding out the top-ten fastest during the session were Brian Vickers (131.207 mph) who was sixth fastest, Clint Bowyer (131.198) seventh, Kevin Harvick (131.175) eighth, pole-sitter Jeff Gordon (131.153) ninth and Tony Stewart (130.932) posting the tenth fastest lap speed.
The teams “Happy Hour” (final) practice session will be from 11:00 AM – 11:50 AM (ET) this morning, and then all that is left will be the 16th annual SYLVANIA 300 on Sunday – which is set to get started around 2:20 PM (ET). Television coverage will be provided by ESPN beginning with their 1:00 PM (ET) NASCAR Countdown pre-race show.
