Joey Logano backed up his Friday practice performance by running a qualifying lap speed of 176.056 mph, to capture the 2012 NSCS Ford EcoBoost 400 Coors Light Pole Award at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

This was Logano’s second series pole of the 2012 season, his fifth series career pole and his first series pole at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Starting on the outside pole with a qualifying lap speed of 175.342 mph, will be Marcos Ambrose, followed by the current series points leader, Brad Keselowski (175.092 mph) starting from third, Carl Edwards (175.001) fourth and Aric Almirola (174.887) starting fifth.

Rounding out the top-ten starting positions will be Clint Bowyer (174.752 mph) starting from sixth, Martin Truex, Jr. (174.644) seventh, Kyle Busch (174.565) eighth, Mark Martin (174.452) ninth and second in the points, Jimmie Johnson (174.081) will start from the tenth position.

Failing to make the starting lineup were the #79 driven by Reed Sorenson, #33 driven by Stephen Leicht, #91 driven by Jason Leffler and the #87 driven by Joe Nemechek.

The teams will return on Saturday for two more practice sessions (1:00 pm – 2:00 pm &  ”Happy Hour:” 3:00 pm – 3:50 pm) before they race their final race of the 2012 season.

The 14th annual Ford EcoBoost 400 is scheduled to get started at approximately 3:20 pm (ET) on Sunday, Nov. 18th, and television coverage will be provided by ESPN beginning with their 2:00 pm (ET) NASCAR Countdown pre-race show.
