Chris Lafferty

Chris Lafferty will make his 16th Nascar Camping World Truck Series start and first on the fast, mile and a half tri-oval.  The black #65 Chevy Silverado will feature his nationally syndicated television program, “Chris Lafferty’s Motorsports TV”, which has been given the green light for a second season on FOX Sports Network. “I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to kick off this partnership with Mike Mittler in Chicago.  MB Motorsports and Mike Mittler have had a long and highly respectable tenure in the truck series and I can hardly believe that I’m getting the opportunity to drive for Mike with the MB Motorsports crew”, said Lafferty.

Sitting atop the pit box, making the calls will be MB Motorsports owner Mike Mittler.  Mittler has been a fixture in the truck series since its inaugural 1995 season.  “Chris has a lot of talent,” notes Mittler. “ We watched him make an impressive qualifying run just last week at Iowa, which made us even more excited about what we can do together. I think Chicago gives us a chance to get a head start on our communication and what kind of set up Chris likes before we get to Vegas.”

All of the action can be seen on SPEED, qualifying is set for 4 p.m. Saturday with 150 laps of action-packed racing beginning at 8 p.m. (all times eastern).

MIKE MITTLER’S THOUGHTS ON THE AMERICAN ETHANOL  225 AT CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY:

“Although I’ve never run at Chicagoland Speedway, I have driven at other mile and a half tracks like Charlotte, Kentucky and Texas.  I think that experience combined with Mike’s knowledge will allow us to do just fine.”
