Paintball Pros.. .Paludo and his Turner Motorsports teammates will be teaming up with paintball star Greg Hastings in Las Vegas for a head-to-head battle prior to the September 29th race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Paludo, along with Nelson Piquet Jr., James Buescher and his wife Kris will join forces with SPEED on-air talent Ray Dunlap and Rick Allen to take on each other and some of paintball’s most prestigious professional players including Hastings, Bea Youngs, Kat Secor and Sonny Lopez. The event, which will be held at Las Vegas Premier Paintball in Las Vegas Sports Park, is open to spectators and will feature a 30-minute autograph session with the Turner Motorsports drivers and paintball players. The autograph session will be followed by four to six combat-style games between the drivers, media and pros.
Get Your Game On… This weekend in Las Vegas, Paludo will carry the latest release in Hastings’ video game franchise, Greg Hastings Paintball 2, on the truck bed of the No. 32 Duroline Brakes and Components Chevrolet. Lunkenheimer has chosen to walk for Paludo and his son Oliver, and has set a goal of raising $1,000 for the ADA. Previous Race Recap… Paludo earned his fourth top-10 finish of the season in a caution-filled event at Kentucky Speedway. After overcoming extremely loose handling and avoiding an early-race wreck-fest, Paludo was one of the strongest trucks in the field, crossing the finish line eighth, which catapulted him from 11th to ninth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver point standings.
Watch and Listen… The Smith’s 350 can be seen live on Saturday, September 29th on SPEED. Race coverage will begin at 8:00 p.m. ET. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 90.
Miguel Paludo on driving at Las Vegas Motor Speedway -
“There is no doubt that I feel most comfortable on the mile-and-a-half speedways, and every time we visit one it’s proof that this is where Turner Motorsports excels as an organization. I feel very confident going into Las Vegas after last weekend’s race in Kentucky. Las Vegas is also very similar to Atlanta, and even though we didn’t have the result we wanted there, we learned a lot that should help us perform really well this weekend.”
