After a three-hour delay due to rain, being shortened by 10 laps due to lack of light and a green-white-checkered (flags) dash to the finish, the 2013 NNS Aaron’s 312 found Regan Smith in victory lane at Talladega Superspeedway.

Smith, who was deemed to be the leader at the time of the final yellow flag/caution that came out to officially end the race, received his first series win of the 2013 season, his second series career win and his first win at Talladega Superspeedway.

Following Smith (with his victory is the new series points leader with a 27-point lead ahead of Sam Hornish, Jr. – who finished 25th) to finish second was Joey Logano, and they were followed by Kasey Kahne who finished third, Kurt Busch fourth and Justin Allgaier finished fifth.

Rounding out the top-ten finishing positions were Parker Kligerman who finished sixth, Mike Wallace seventh, Jason White eighth, Jeremy Clements ninth and Austin Dillon finishing in the tenth position.
