From the Cockpit:
Matt Kenseth: “I’m looking forward to running at Darlington this weekend because it’s one of the most historic tracks on the circuit and we only get to go there once a year. I’m happy to be in this weekend’s Nationwide Series event because that’s an extra opportunity to have time on that track. I think that anytime you get to race at Darlington, no matter the series, it’s always something to look forward to. The JGR cars are usually strong everywhere, but hopefully this is a great weekend at Darlington because the organization has had such a strong performance record there over the last several years.”
From the Pit Box:
Matt Lucas: “I’m just ready to get our No. 18 team back out on the track this weekend. I feel like we’ve been gone for a while even though it’s only been three races, so it’s tough to get back into a rhythm, but we’re ready to go. The No.18 has run really well at Darlington in the past, and the plan is to run well again this weekend. We led the most laps in this race last year and finished second. With Matt (Kenseth) being a proven winner at Darlington in the Nationwide Series, our goal is to give him a car that has everything he needs to be able to wheel it to the front of the field.”
