Event Preview Fact Sheet

This Week’s WinField Chevrolet at Charlotte Motor Speedway … Dakoda Armstrong will pilot Chassis No. 118 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Nationwide Series stable Saturday afternoon at Charlotte Motor Speedway. This RCR-prepared machine was last utilized by the No. 3 team at Texas Motor Speedway in 2012 where it was raced to a sixth-place finish.

Back in the Driver’s Seat … Armstrong returns to the RCR Nationwide Series program this weekend for his second, of five, scheduled appearances in the 2013 season. The 300-mile event is the 21-year-old’s second start for RCR.

Rookie in the CLT … Saturday’s History 300 marks Armstrong’s first Nationwide Series appearance at Charlotte Motor Speedway and his third-career Nationwide Series start. The Indiana native has one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start to his credit at the 1.5-mile facility, starting 24th and finishing 13th in May 2012.

WinField on the Hood … WinField, a Land O’Lakes company, offers top-performing seed and crop protection products and will adorn the hood of the No. 21 Chevrolet Camaro this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. What are your thoughts on Competing for Richard Childress Racing in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway?

“I’m looking forward to getting another shot to compete for Richard Childress Racing in the Nationwide Series at Charlotte (Motor Speedway). I think running the Camping World Truck Series race a week before at Charlotte is an added benefit and will allow me to get familiar with the track since I have only raced there once. Driving the No. 21 WinField Chevrolet this weekend is a great opportunity for me, and I’m excited to work with the group at RCR again this weekend.”
