ARCA open test Wednesday at Talladega

Talladega Superspeedway Logo (TOLEDO, Ohio - March 30, 2015) - The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is heading south Talladega Superspeedway for an open test Wednesday, April 1. The open test will serve in part as an approval process for drivers seeking to compete on superspeedways and for teams looking to get a leg-up on the competition for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 coming May 1, the 53rd ARCA race at Talladega since 1969. Entrants for the one-day test include series veterans Mark Thompson (Cartersville, Ga.) and Mobile, Alabama's Thomas Praytor, as well as an interesting mix of rookies. (March 30, 2015) – NASCAR today unveiled modifications to the qualifying format at superspeedways across all three national series. The updated format will take effect at Talladega Superspeedway for the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series next month.
