Power Steering Issue, Etc. Affects Milka Duno’s Toledo Results
Toledo, Ohio (May 20, 2012) – Milka Duno’s hopes to better her 2011 finish in today’s ARCA Racing Series Menards 200 at Toledo Speedway were dashed when a power steering failure and collateral crash damage put her 7 laps down just a little over halfway through the race. Duno finished the race 24th.
With an 18th place finish in last year’s ARCA race at Toledo Duno, her Crew Chief Dave Leiner Jr and the Eddie Sharp Racing crew arrived at the half-mile oval determined to better last season’s finish. In a very competitive field in which the top 30 cars qualified less than a second apart Duno started 24th.

Yacaman Scores First Pole with Firestone Freedom 100 Pole at Indy

INDIANAPOLIS (Thursday, May 24, 2012) - Gustavo Yacaman has one victory, 16 top-five and 26 top-10 finishes in four Firestone Indy Lights seasons.
On May 24, the 21-year-old from Colombia filled in another column with his first pole. And it comes in the biggest race of the season.
Yacaman, driving the No. 2 TMR-Tuvacol-Xtreme Coil Drilling car, posted a two-lap aggregate time of 1 minute, 35.9913 seconds (average speed of 187.517 mph) to claim the top spot for the Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Miller Lite Carb Day (May 25).
