MacDonald Motorsports Press Release
LAS VEGAS, Nevada and ZURICH, Switzerland, May 7, 2008 - - To promote its brand recognition in the eastern portion of the United States, Beverage Plus Inc. aligned itself with MacDonald Motorsports at a upcoming NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Darlington, South Carolina. The company has partnered with MacDonald Motorsports as the primary sponsor for the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Diamond Hill Plywood 200 on May 9, 2008. The Company also contributed sponsorships on behalf of the University of Illinois and the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas. As a tribute to these outstanding educational institutions, the Company’s sponsorship includes a prominent placement of the names of these universities and colleges on the top portion of the rear quarter-panels.
The company sponsored the team's No. 81 Dodge Charger driven by D.J. Kennington, who raced in Mexico City, Mexico and finished the race in the 25th place – the best of the 2008 season so far. "We were racing in the 5th to 7th position at Talladega, Alabama last week, and had it not been for the wreck towards the end of the race we were likely to have finished in the top 10. At speeds over 195 MPH even with a restrictor plate, we attracted a great deal of attention. We finished in the 25th position in the MC2 Energy Drink Dodge at the Corona Mexico 200 at Mexico City, and we were one of the faster qualifying cars at Talladega” says D.J. Kennington.
The team finished in 27th place at Richmond, Virginia last week. D.J. continues, "At MacDonald Motorsports we have a great car ready for the Diamond Hill Plywood 200. This is expected to be one of the most exciting races of the 2008 season - its a night-time race this Friday. The track was recently repaved and I agree with what Greg Biffle stated last month during testing, the track conditions is likely to allow for speeds upwards of 200 MPH.” He continues, "We were racing in the 5th to 7th position at Talladega, Alabama last week, and had it not been for the wreck towards the end of the race we were likely to have finished in the top 10. At speeds over 195 MPH even with a restrictor plate, we attracted a great deal of attention. We finished in the 25th position in the MC2 Energy Drink Dodge at the Corona Mexico 200 at Mexico City and we were one of the faster qualifying cars at Talladega."
“I believe that the Diamond Hill Plywood 200 will be extremely challenging and competitive.. You've got Clint Bowyer driving the No. 2 BB&T Chevy and Kyle Busch driving the No. 32 Beringer Vineyards Toyota who has done remarkably well in recent races. David Stemme impressed many fans and racing teams with his strong performance two weeks ago in the Talladega and finishing in 10th place in Richmond driving the no. 64 Atreus Homes and Community Chevy." says D.J. Kennington.
He continues, "Despite their great prospects for this weekend, I think the guy to beat at Darlington is Denny Hamlin driving the No. 18 Farm Bureau Insurance Toyota. Denny just won the race at Richmond, and has done great at Darlington in the past – winning the last two races here. It was great to have raced with Denny Hamlin last week, and based on what I saw of his racing at Richmond, he's the guy I would like to keep in my rear view mirror.”
"It is great to have MC2 Energy Drink on board for the Darlington Raceway event", claimed D.J. Kennington, driver for MacDonald Motorsports. "We love the MC2 Energy Drink and I think we have provided a solid performance during the 2008 racing season for our fans, many of whom are dedicated energy drink consumers."
Beverage Plus Inc.. also announces commencement of production of the MC2 Energy Drink Coffee product line for marketing to USA, European and Latin American customers. Remarkably, the Cafe Zal coffee has no bitter after-taste and is often consumed without any cream or sweetener.
