PRESS RELEASE

Todd Bodine, No. 03 Germain Motor Company TOYOTA Camry Darlington Raceway Notes and Quotes
Germain Racing Press Release

Todd Bodine, No. 03 Germain Motor Company Toyota Camry

Quotes and Notes

Diamond Hill Plywood 200 Darlington Raceway

Bodine on the Repave of the Race Track:

“I actually talked to the engineers about Darlington Raceway and told them ‘don’t change the track, just fix the bumps.’ It’s got so much character and so much history. From what I understand, the bumps are fixed and now it’s really fast.”

Bodine on Darlington Raceway:

“It’s a driver’s track. It takes a lot of patience and at the same time you’ve really gotta get after it. I’ve always enjoyed Darlington from the first race I ever ran there and finished 5th in a (Nationwide Series) race car.”

Bodine on Racing Trucks at Darlington:

“I’d definitely like to see the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series return to Darlington. I love racing there and the last truck race we ran, we had probably the fastest truck on the track and ended up getting in a little altercation. It is one of my favorite tracks.”

Notes:

  • Bodine has one win, seven top five and 14 top-ten finishes at Darlington in 20 starts in the Nationwide Series. His average finish is 11.6 and he has only suffered two DNFs at Darlington in NNS competition.

  • Bodine’s victory at Darlington came in 2003, driving for Herzog-Jackson Motorsports. He started 13th and finished first.

  • Bodine has no pole positions at Darlington, but has qualified second on two occasions.

  • Bodine has 322 starts in NNS with 15 wins, 89 top-five and 159 top-ten finishes along with seven pole awards. His average finish is 15.1 after 20 years of NNS competition.

  • Bodine has completed 59,475 laps and has led 1343 in NNS competition.

  • Mike Hillman Jr. will serve as crew chief for the no. 03 Germain Motor Company Toyota Camry. This is his first race back atop the pit box since he began serving a suspension issued by NASCAR following an infraction found before qualifying in the Truck Series race at Daytona.

  • Bodine is third in NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series standings with one victory, two top-five and three top-ten finishes.
