Dominick Casola's Season Brightens With Strong 10th Place Finish In ARCA Race At Kentucky Speedway
Ernie Saxton Communications, Inc. Press Release
HOLMDEL, NJ May 12, 2008 . . . “I can see a light at the end of the tunnel and it is not a train coming the other way,” said Dominick Casola as he talked about his 10th place finishing effort in the ARCA RE/MAX at Kentucky Speedway this past Saturday. “I was really proud of the way our guys worked.”
The “Drive Smart! Buckle-Up Kentucky 150” saw Casola’s Win-Tron Racing prepared A.Casola Farms Dodge qualify well, starting 17th in the 41 car starting field.
“We fought some handling issues for a bit early in the race,” commented the young Holmdel, NJ racer. “We were not as fast as we would have liked as we missed just a little on the gear we put in the Dodge. Overall though it was a good, strong event for us.”
Casola’s season up to Kentucky has been filled with some strong efforts ended by bad breaks and bad luck.
“It was very satisfying that we were able to keep the car in one piece and get our first top 10 of the season,” said an excited Casola. “We had good pit stops and I am proud of the guys for all the hard work they have been putting into our season and especially our latest effort at Kentucky.”
The sophomore ARCA RE/MAX Series racer had an outstanding season in 2007 earning a 13th place finish in the final point standings despite not having the opportunity to race in the season opening ARCA 200 at Daytona.
The A.Casola Farms Dodge team had anticipated a strong start for their new relationship with Win-Tron Racing out of Minnesota, unfortunately the season has been something from Murphy’s Law, whatever could go wrong has going wrong with bad luck being the big culprit.
“Kentucky was that turnaround race that we were looking for,” said Casola. “We will be looking forward to the next race anticipating an even better finish and perhaps that elusive first win.”
