PRESS RELEASE
Kentucky Unlucky For Gabi DiCarlo
Stringer Motorsports Press Release
Akin, IL (May 13, 2008) - The Great Clips Race Team has had a years worth of ad luck in just the first six races of the season. The team is stuck in the old adage that everything that can go wrong will. The Drive Smart, Buckle Up Kentucky 150 held at the beautiful Kentucky Speedway was no different.
After struggling in practice and qualifying the team saw their young driver Gabi DiCarlo fight her way into the thirteenth position. As the team looked to be in contention for another top ten finish, a bolt on the sway bar arm snapped and Gabi found herself with a car that was a handful to drive. DiCarlo finished the race with a disappointing 25th place finish.
"I have full confidence in this team," said Doug Stringer owner of Stringer Motorsports."We have all the pieces to be a top ten car every race and I believe that we will"
The team will now head to the Toledo Speedway for the May 18th running of the Hantz Group 200 by Federated Auto Parts.
