This was Gaughan's second series win of the 2014 season, his second series career win and his first series win at Kentucky Speedway. Gaughan's fellow Richard Childress Racing (RCR) teammates, Brian Scott and series Rookie of the Year (ROTY) candidate Ty Dillon (pole-sitter and led the most laps - 155 out of 200) finished second and third respectively, while ROTY candidate Chase Elliott was fourth and Regan Smith was fifth.
