2013 NNS HISTORY 300 First Test/Practice Session Speeds
The NASCAR Nationwide Series teams were given a 4-hour test/practice session Wednesday at Charlotte Motor Speedway in preparation for Saturday's HISTORY 300. And, at the end of the session with a lap speed of 178.247 mph, it was Joey Logano at the top of the speed chart.
Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year (ROTY) contender, Alex Bowman, with a lap speed of 178.071 mph, posted the second fastest lap speed, and he was followed by Kyle Busch (177.866 mph) who was third fastest, Matt Kenseth (177.702) fourth and Trevor Bayne (177.567) was fifth fastest.

History Says Kyle Busch Wins Again In Nationwide

History has said in the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) this season that if Kyle Busch was competing, he would win. That statistic held its value Saturday afternoon at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, when Busch on his 10-year NASCAR Nationwide Series debut anniversary weekend scored his seventh NNS victory at the 1.5-mile oval in the 32nd-annual History 300. Busch, driving the No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing netted his sixth win in 10 races and his fifth Nationwide win in his last six races and 57th of his NNS career.
