MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 26, 2008) – Five weeks into the NASCAR Sprint Cup season, the members of the No. 15 Menards/Dale Earnhardt Inc. team have bonded through hard work and a shared desire to run up front. As a result of the growing team chemistry, driver Paul Menard may have an edge on his competition heading into this weekend’s race at Martinsville Speedway.

“Team chemistry is incredibly important in racing,” Crew Chief Doug Randolph said. “It helps build and maintain momentum and confidence and that can result in some great finishes on the race track.”

But Randolph knows team chemistry helps more than just on track performance.

“It also holds the team together when your racing luck is not as good as it should be,” Randolph added.

The bad luck seemed to follow the No. 15 team to Atlanta and Bristol, where Menard was caught up in on track incidents during the last two race weekends.

“Atlanta and Bristol were by far our best races until getting in accidents. I felt that we could've gotten a top-15 at Atlanta until I just flat lost it and brushed the wall. At Bristol we had a top-five car for sure and just got caught up in typical Bristol fashion. Even though those two finishes weren't what I had hoped for, I'm very pumped about the speed out of the cars.”

Despite a rough couple of weeks, Menard remains upbeat about the team’s potential for this weekend’s Goody’s Cool Orange 500.

“I am really excited about how Doug (Randolph) has been getting these cars to drive,” Menard said. “I think our early Bristol run speaks volumes for how good we can be this weekend in Martinsville. In fact, I can’t wait to get in the car and see how good it is!”
