How do you feel about taking the lead in the NSCS point standings following the Richmond race?
“It’s great to be back on top of the point standings. We were there earlier this year and kind of fell back a little bit. We’ve had some great runs. We’ve had some strong runs. We’ve had some good cars. And so, fortunately we were able to capitalize on those most of this year and hopefully we can keep doing that throughout the year. With the new facility, the new race track and the new paving job (at Darlington), hopefully we can have a great run out there to keep our momentum going. It’s been good and hopefully it keeps going that way.”
Tell us about this special Indiana Jones paint scheme you’re running this weekend.
“Yeah, this thing is pretty cool, isn’t it? What it is is a deal that M&M’S has with LucasFilms to help promote the new movie coming out soon. It’s for the new Indiana Jones movie. I think it’s supposed to be coming out in a couple weeks on May 22. The first Indiana Jones movie came out before I was even born, but they’re fun to watch. So our car just has a cool look to it this weekend. There’s a bunch of fun stuff going on with the movie coming out too. My favorite are the new Mint Crisp M&M’S that are out. You should check those out. But we’re excited for this weekend. It’s always cool when you can do fun stuff like this and shake things up sometimes.”
