Camp & Associates, Inc., For WIX Filters, Press Release
WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER NOTES FOR THE DODGE CHALLENGER 500 NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES RACE AT DARLINGTON RACEWAY, MAY 10, 2008.
· Kyle Busch led seven times for 169 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in tonight’s Dodge Challenger 500. Busch has led at least one lap in eight of the 11 races this season for a total of 567 laps.
· DID YOU KNOW? A Joe Gibbs Racing driver has led the most laps in each of the last THREE consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.
· Busch won tonight’s race at Darlington, his third victory in the last three Sprint Cup Series races. He claimed his seventh top-five and eighth top-10 of the 2008 season.
· DID YOU KNOW? The driver leading the most laps at Darlington has finished no worse than sixth in the last five consecutive races at Darlington.
· Since 2000, the driver leading the most laps has won five races at Darlington and grabbed nine top-five finishes.
· Busch leads Jimmie Johnson by one race (4-3) in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.
· UNOFFICIALLY Busch leads the Sprint Cup Series championship standings, 79 points ahead of second-place Jeff Burton and 134 in front of third-place Dale Earnhardt Jr.

· BUSCH QUOTES: YOU HAD A GREAT CAR HERE TONIGHT. WAS THAT THE BEST CAR YOU’VE EVER HAD HERE? “Probably, yeah. I mean, Biffle was definitely really, really strong and fortunately we didn’t have to race him at the end. Our car was good all night long and we kept making adjustments to it. It wasn’t great but it was good and at the end we got it pretty darn good compared to everybody else and still we were able to lead the most laps tonight, win the WIX award and get the five extra bonus points for that, which is equal to 10.” That just helps us out in the points race.” IS LEADING THE RACE THE SAFEST PLACE TO BE HERE AT DARLINGTON? “The safest place here is probably leading because you can stay out in clean air and try to run your own pace, run your own race. But I didn’t prove that tonight because I ran into the wall probably three times while I was leading. You definitely don’t want to be back in traffic and trying to muscle your way though there and running into somebody.” TO WIN AT DARLINGTON MUST BE SPECIAL. “It definitely is. To win here at a place that’s so hard, whether it’s old asphalt, new asphalt, the regular car, the new car, it’s just unbelievable the way that this race goes about and way that thing happened tonight. Fortunately for me I’ve got a great race team with Joe Gibbs Racing and of course Toyota motors and all the guys on the team that do such a great job of putting these things together. The build them as strong as they can for me because I like to knock the walls down with ‘em [smiles]. Fortunately for me I had one of those good pieces tonight and we were able to come through for a win.”
