2012 NSCS Coca-Cola 600 First Practice Session Speeds

Landon Cassill was second fastest with a lap speed of 189.182 mph, and was followed by AJ Allmendinger (188.409 mph) who was third fastest, Greg Biffle (188.344) fourth and Clint Bowyer (188.016) was fifth fastest. Rounding out the top-ten fastest during practice were Aric Almirola (187.996) who was sixth fastest, Joey Logano (187.983) seventh, Kyle Busch (187.931) eighth, Denny Hamlin (187.774) ninth and Mark Martin (187.754) posting the tenth fastest lap speed.
