2014 NSCS GEICO 500 First Practice Session Speeds

Second fastest with a lap speed was 200.268 mph, was Aric Almirola and he was followed by Jamie McMurray (200.117 mph) who was third, Michael McDowell (199.971) fourth and Travis Kvapil (199.971) was fifth. Series Rookie of the Year (ROTY) candidate, Kyle Larson (199.537 mph) was sixth fastest, while Landon Cassill (199.284) was seventh, Brad Keselowski (199.238() eighth, Kurt Busch (199.197) ninth and Kyle Buach (199.160) rounding out the top-ten.
