NASCAR Nationwide Series in California on ESPN The NASCAR Nationwide Series races at the 2-mile Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., this weekend for a 300-mile race and ESPN will have a live telecast on Saturday, March 23. NASCAR Countdown begins at 4:30 p.m. ET with the green flag at 5:17 p.m. The race telecast is presented by Kawasaki. RECORD RUN BOOSTS HAMLIN TO COCA-COLA POLE: Denny Hamlin won the pole for Sunday’s 54th running of the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Hamlin drew a late qualifying number and proceeded to shatter the existing track record. He ran a lap of 195.624 mph in claiming his second career pole at Charlotte Motor Speedway. “The crew gave me an awesome car. We knew we had to improve from last week,” said Hamlin. “We’re happy about everything. It’s like a victory for me. It’s a big step for the weekend.
