Jack Sprague To Compete In ARCA Racing Series Finale At Toledo For Beard Racing

Former NASCAR Truck Series champion Jack Sprague will wheel a car owned by Mark Beard in next Sunday’s ARCA Racing Series (ARS) presented by Menards Federated Car Care 200 at Toledo Speedway. The entry was confirmed today while the Beard Oil team prepares for a race tonight at the Kansas Speedway. The Toledo race is part of National Championship Weekend, set for Saturday and Sunday, October 15-16.

The Toledo event is the final race for the ARS Series for the 2011 season. Sprague, a native of Spring Lake, MI will drive a car for fellow Wolverine resident Mark Beard of Mt. Pleasant, MI. Beard is no stranger to Toledo Speedway, having competed many times at the fast, ½ mile paved oval in an ARCA Late Model in the 1970′s. The Beard Oil team has Clay Rogers in the driver’s seat for the Kansas race tonight. Sprague was scheduled to also compete at Kansas, but tagged the wall in testing at the track last week.
