NASCAR Drivers Kasey Kahne and Elliott Sadler To Talk Teen Safe Driving With Race Fans Before Allstate 400® at the Brickyard®

Allstate to distribute 250,000 commemorative teen safe driving wrist bands
at IMS to honor nearly 5,000 teens who die in car crashes each year

WHAT: Car crashes are the number one cause of fatality among teenagers in America. To raise awareness for this epidemic, Allstate is distributing 250,000 wristbands to fans at IMS with the number “4,946” to honor the 4,946 teens who lost their lives in fatal car crashes in the U.S. in 2007. Teen driving fatalities affect all communities. According to a recent study, the Indianapolis area ranks 23rd worst among the nation’s deadliest metro areas for fatal teen crashes and Indiana ranks 25th worst among all states. To further use its race title sponsorship to promote teen safe driving, Allstate has also partnered with NASCAR drivers Kasey Kahne and Elliott Sadler to encourage more communication between parents and teens on this important issue. Kahne, Sadler and Roberts will headline the Allstate Teen Safe Driving Pit Stop at the Coke Zero stage at IMS on Sunday morning before the Allstate® 400 at the Brickyard® and talk to race fans about the risks facing teens on the road. Race fans with teen drivers will be encouraged to visit www.allstate.com/teen to complete an interactive Parent-Teen Driving Contract, which helps start the important safe driving conversation among parents and teens to ensure safe driving habits.
