No. 13 Safe Auto / Curb Records Chevrolet Silverado
Johnny Sauter, driver of the No. 13 Safe Auto / Curb Records Chevrolet Silverado for ThorSport Racing, comes to Nashville with a huge grin on his face. It has been a few good weeks, according to the driver. Not only did he celebrate in Martinsville as the Kroger 250 winner, but his wife Cortney also gave birth to second child – and first daughter – Paige Gertrude. Rolling into Music City, Sauter helps Curb Records celebrate Mike Curb’s 500th start alongside the Ronald Reagan Centennial and Safe Auto.
“I’ve had some banner weeks here right now, and wow, what a feeling,” said Sauter. “I said in the NASCAR cam interview yesterday that it just feels like everything is going right for us this year with my guys, and winning solves everything in racing. So the momentum we have coming into Nashville is really important – and I want another Gibson guitar. I got one in ASA Racing at the old Fairgrounds – and I’d love to have one in NASCAR.” Visiting Gibson Guitars

As part of his Nashville week, Sauter will visit the Gibson Guitar Factory alongside Sam Bass, designer of the trophy guitars, and fellow NASCAR drivers on the circuit. “It’s a special trophy to win,” he said. “Every driver has two or three of the ‘big ones’ that he or she wants to win. The Nashville Gibson guitar has to be up there on every single one of our lists. Ask anyone. So this is a neat opportunity and pretty special to be invited – Gibson has never opened up their factory to show how it’s all done to NASCAR drivers before. I feel like it makes it all more worthwhile if I can make it to Victory Lane – plus bringing one home for Mike Curb on his 500th start in his hometown.”
