HERMIE SADLER ON RICHMOND
“Being born and raised in Virginia, it is always special to race at Richmond International Raceway. Having the Richmond-based VCU Rams colors and logo on my Ford Mustang makes it extra special this time around. To be successful at Richmond, you need a car that turns well off the corners but also has good forward bite. I haven’t raced much lately, but luckily we have the open test session on Thursday.
That will allow me to turn a bunch of laps and try and get the feel back for what I want from inside the car. The guys have worked hard on this car and we’re expecting to run well. Greg Biffle finished second in the spring race at Richmond behind the wheel of the No. 27, and Baker Curb Racing has proven all season long that they are one of the most competitive teams in the Nationwide Series. It’s going to be an exciting weekend, and I can’t wait to get on the track!”
CREW CHIEF JOHN REESE ON RICHMOND
“We’re excited to have Hermie Sadler in our No. 27 Ford Mustang Friday night. We’ve learned a lot about the New Nationwide Series car throughout the season and have put a lot of hard work into making improvements to our Ford Mustang for the Richmond race. Having the extra test session will be very beneficial to learn more about the new car and it is also good for Hermie to get some extra laps since he hasn’t run many Nationwide races the last few years.”
