CONCORD, N.C. (March 19, 2012) - Kenny Wallace and the Mac Tools Racing Team had a strong run going in the early part of Saturday's NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, but an engine failure left the No. 09 team with a 33rd-place finish.
Wallace recorded the 10th- and 19th-fastest times, respectively, in Friday's twin practice sessions, and followed that up by touring the .533-mile oval in 15.801 seconds, at an average speed of 121.435 mph, in Saturday morning's qualifying session to earn the 17th-starting spot for the 300-lap event later that afternoon.
